The Story of Age of Wonders

HOW DID IT ALL START? HOW DID AGE OF WONDERS BECOME THE GAME IT IS? WHAT STARTED THE CHAOS? ONE WORD, HUMANS. I will explain the story to you...

As the world was first aborn and new, the races and beings all over were ruled by Elven King Ininoch, whom dealt with all happening and wanted peace for all things everywhere.

However, a new race called "Humans" suddenly appeared in the Valley of Wonders, and were very interested in claiming in for their own. They declared war on Ininoch, and summoned their vast armies upon them, destroying most of the elves and the whole kingdom. Ininoch was slaughtered, along with numerous elves.

His second wife Elwyn, escaped with her life, with her baby, Julia along with other survivors of the elven court.

The destruction of the court cut the remaining elves in half. Those wanted to build the kingdom back in peace, while others... greatly angered and scorn by their loss, declared to destroy everything "Human". Theses elves went to live underground, sharpening evil weapons of true war... which these are known as "The Dark Elves".

Meandor, the firstborn of late King Ininoch, joined the Dark Elves, emerging as their leader. Julia when she became older, would join a group called "The Keepers" eventually becoming their leader. This is also how the CAMPAIGN mode starts out from, deciding which side you want to be on. Now you know the story, can you play the Campaign??
