The Elves

The Elves are claimed to be one of the most elite races in the game, but I have yet to find a serious strength that they possess.

Elves are of the "Good" alignment, and they often align themselves with the other forces of good and "Pure Good" which is often of the Highmen.

It has been on some occasions that Elves have sided with the Neutral races as well, which usually ends up in a hateful relationship in the end of a treaty.

As most people know of Elves, their natural ability to use a bow is unmatched by any other race. Marksmanship and accuracy makes them deadly with a ranged weapon, but in AoW a bow and arrow is not able to take down Orc Warlords!

As you may see from the character graph, the Elf Leader possesses the skill "Archery" which is common throughout all elves except for those who use a sword. Although other Race Hero types can learn archery, most focus on other skills. Elves who have the Archer skill and max Marksmanship level 4... are deadly if they face another hero alone.

Although the Elf Leader was hurt and poisoned, his Archery skill was the main reason he was able to strike the "flying" type unit. When you encounter a flying unit you cannot melee attack them directly unless they try to attack you. Here is the list of units that can be produced from the largest Elf and most upgraded city.

Those are the Elf Units... obviously Elves are well suited for stealth and speed tactics against enemies, but in AoW I have found that if they run into stronger units that deal more damage... they fall like flies. Being the Elves, I would highly recommend making a LOT of Unicorns and some Nature Elementals, these are your only main fighting force... because in AoW you need a fighting force!

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: HARD

Last tips: If you are fighting Unicorns and Nature Elementals cannot defeat the enemy stronger units, you will have to focus on using Nymphs. Nymps are weak and are not to be a fighting unit, but their unique ability to "Seduce" male beings can help get you alot of forces. Just always remember that morale is very important throughout ALL of your ranks!
