Legacy

Does AOE2 have a legacy? Yes it does.

Containing various forms of gameplay, great graphics, supreme multiplayer fun and able to keep fighting battle after battle with no tediouness due to the various units you can have and are able to establish certain strategies in gameplay... AOE2 is not to mention probably one of the most played multiplayer strategy games due to it being on the Microsoft Zone, so don't expect AOE2 to lose it's class or popularity for a LONG time. Diablo II would probably multiplayer before AOE2 does.

The Stables... look at the graphics, the work placed into the units and buildings...

My crossbowmen attempting to kill the enemy Light Calvary unit!! While in control of your units, you can right click an enemy object and that is how a battle will begin!

BATTLE!!! COMBAT!! Sometimes it's spooky when you get attacked in an ambush, that's why I like games with no fog, so you have some warning of when enemies are attempting to attack!!

Indeed AOE2 has a legacy that is cemented in not it's empire economy, but it's building of objects/walls and above all, the fighting system. THAT... is what has made, AOE2's legacy.
