My Note
Age of Empires II is a game that can
definitely inspire a fighter/strategy game. Though AOE2 is mainly about building
up forces for fighting, it is not all about building an empire as in
manufacturing and such like Seven Kingdoms. However you do upgrade your
technologies by your buildings that you have available, your villagers chop
wood, mine stone/gold, and do numerous chores which is quite fun.
The King says to the
Villagers: GET TO WORK!!
I love in regicide mode you can have your own little king, who is actually a fat slob!
Yes he is a slob! He has a
nice amount of HP actually, but he has no attack or defense!!! LOOK AT THE GUT
ON HIM!
FAT
KING SAYS: GET TO WORK!
Anyway, despite that. Death match is really enjoyable. Parts of AOE2 itself comes from AOE1 such as the MODES of play. Random Map and Death Match for example do. Random Map makes you in a randomized world depending on the geographies you chose before the start of the game. Death Match is starting you off with many resources to immediately construct buildings and create numerous military units/progress through the ages quickly for a war! Everyone LOVES DEATH MATCH!!

Female Villagers at last, so OWNAGE. Villagers can even slam enemies with their hammers, unlike our Fat King who doesn't even have 1 in attack.
Yes AOE2 has a lot of fine qualities that I would suggest anyone to pick up and play, ESPECIALLY for it's multiplayer Microsoft Gaming Zone, you can play games with a lot of people on that, but use single player to tone your skill, make your own scenarios... or just play it alone! :)!
