FAQ
Greetings Paulos!
Good evening.
It is 2/20/05... GameLegacy progress seems to just keep moving smoothly.
It sure does, and I intend for it to continue.
Tell us, Paulos, what is Bard's Tale about?
Though I know about the game, recently reviewing the internet and researching into the Bard's Tale game for NES, I have realized it is EXTREMELY underrated and BARELY known. I think Rings of Power is perhaps more known than Bard's Tale for NES, I THINK... maybe not, but close, that's just how close they are.
So what is Bard's Tale about?
LoL, Bard's Tale features you in the "Adventurer's Guild" you must form a group to destroy evil that plagues your town and other places. I am still quite engrossed in the game right now.
Six classes, what is the best class?
Physical force and defense rules this game in the beginning, but luckily you have up to six ACTIVE character slots to have, and ALSO... you can keep spare adventurers in backup at the guild.
The gameplay/graphics...?
The gameplay is tough at first because you do not even know where you are, unlike many games, it fails to give a proper introduction and you really need to figure things out yourself.
Form a group of six as figured?
Yes but I suggest 3 Fighters and 3 Wizards for beginners due to it being quite difficult to maintain a group when you are fighting your first battles before leveling up with the council's approval.
Council's Approval?
The only way you LEVEL Up is by going to the Council building and they shall promote you, not a bad system, there is even a church/shop/bar right there so you can immediately do your things you need.
In judgment of this game, is it worth playing?
It's difficulty reminds us of ROP, only you eventually will get the hang of it quicker if you buy good armor/gear quickly before you fight battles than you would ever get used to ROP's gameplay. The game is worthy of the nes system, and I do recommend it being played really, a lot of fun awaits you, we love level up games! :)
