My Note

Here is my personal note of the game of Bard's Tale!

Bard's Tale... tough in the beginning, yet enjoyable when you get the hang of it, and quite an EXPERIENCE. Tons of things to do, plenty of equipment and spells to upgrade to. No promotion class system, but it is one of your typical rpgs with the exception of it being a bed game as I call it. This is the type of game where you can snuggle in bed and play, not many games can you do that to relax and play smoothly and calmly.

PERSON VIEW, don't you hate those? I do a bit also, but the automap in the top right corner helps the whole system greatly so you do not get lost. Sure the walls and scenery is very repetitive, but the monsters and gameplay are NOT. You can go to the bar and drink, go to the church to heal, and the unique level up system of being "judged" by the Review Council adds more uniqueness.

  Ahh... the famous STR/INT/DEX/VIT/LUCK/LEVEL system... don't we love it? Mmm... and the items are quite nice too, this game is a bit difficult if you want to use a SOLO character, beware and wait until you get higher leveled for THAT!

Overall Bard's Tale is enjoyable that you probably cannot find anywhere in this day and age unfortunately except on the internet

Isn't this picture famous on GameAmazon by now? The guildsmaster putting up his hand, explaining about the guild to you, the man on the right *well this is what I presume at least* sure is fun going to the guild, because unlike many games you can get a BRAND NEW CHARACTER at any time of the game as level 1 and play as them, and even put your best character back in the guild! You are the master of your destiny in this game!.
