Here is my note of Civilization II!

If you're in the mood for some serious BUILDING and managing, ... like I always am, Civilization II is just that type of game that you're looking for.

Progressing through the stone age, medieval age, and then to the modern age... including the Space Race, Civilization II is plainly SUPERB for this type of action.

Let's go by Age of Empires, it is a great empire/kingdom builder, but it lacks one thing... it's more of a war game. While Civ2 can be a BRUTAL WAR game and you must fight a lot of enemies at times, there's a lot of diplomacy and ways to make other civilizations like you and fear you, which is veryyyy... important!

One of the best informing games as well when your empire is in need of certain things, your advisors, listed all of the above, will each explain to you about the Military, Science, Trade, Foreign and Attitude information of your kingdom. They will even argue at times, and they will progress to two extra costumes and attitudes themselves, one minute they are Stone Age type of Advisors, then Medieval Age, then MODERN AGE!! Got to love those guys!

On the Civilpedia bar, you will be able to see what advances you have yet to research and more options!

Civilization II... can be a heck of a lot of fun, and HARD I should add. Cheat mode may ruin the gameplay for many, but Civ2 can get quite tough, be at ease but be prepared, many civilizations in the beginning will demand tributes from you and when you refuse, they will declare war. Be careful!
