Here are some hints/codes for Contra: The Hard Corps! *Trust me, you'll probably need them if you're not an expert at this game*

~Hints~

Changing from Shot I to Shot II- Shot I enables you to fire your gun while moving, while putting on Shot II *by pressing A/B at once together* enables you to shoot at an enemy without moving at just about any direction! This is an important technique to learn in Contra!

Slide- Down then Jump, which will allow you to slide slightly across the area which makes you temporarily invincible and destroys enemies! It can sometimes smash you right into an enemy once you stop sliding though, so TIME YOUR SLIDES just right.

Extra Ending: Before battling the zodiac/matrix boss, get up the wall and talk to the man. Agree, and you will now be in the hidden stage. Beat the stage for an extra ending with monkeys... weird hint.

Best Ending: Do NOT go after Dead Eye Joe, FIGHT TO THE END at the research center, and do NOT join the colonel once you get to the point when he asks you to join him, refuse and destroy the alien cell.

~Japanese Version CODES~

For 70 lives, Press C, B, A, Right, Left, C, B, A, Right, Left, C, B, A, Right, and then left on controller 2 at the main menu!

For All Weapons, Pause gameplay and press Up twice, Down twice, A, Up twice, Down twice, B, Up twice, Down twice and then C.

For Level Select, Press A, B, C, Left, Right, A, B, C, Left, Right, A, B, C, Left, right on controller 2 at the main menu!
