Hints + Tips

Hints and Tips are not SECRETS, my Hints and Tip pages have always been dedicated to giving you a personal opinion on certain things that you may wish to do, experiment with, or disband... but before you do this, or such... talk to me first, drop me an IM or mail, whatever ... HOWEVER, here are the Hints and Tips and explanations of some things, some of this could be considered a partial FAQ.

Is Ramza a good character?

Yes, he can be the second best depending on how you build him up, and I'm saying best in mods/HP and perhaps plain USE. Of course he is better than usual GENERICS, but of course he will never have the HP of Orlandu. People love using Ramza as a Wizard, but I feel he is a destined Sword user... and since his SQUIRE class allows him to use Knight Swords/Armors/Helmets in his higher sprites and also just plain have great mod gain in levels... he is no doubt best as a Squire, with Punch Art to my opinion.

OVERALL, what is the best SECONDARY SKILL to use on any character?

Yes, secondary is considered your second skills you could use if you wish to other than your first, which you can even use your secondary as much as your first. For example, Knight with using Item secondary, Thief using Jump, Wizard using White Magic, Priest using Black Magic! Overall to me, in a physical type I believe Punch Art is the best. It can cure abnormal status, CAUSE abnormal status, powerful ATTACK moves and some range moves, it can HEAL with Chakra ... AND EVEN "REVIVE" someone! You just have to be on the same terrain as the person to use it on. To me, it is Punch Art.

Are Beowulf/Worker 8/Cloud/Reis good characters?

Beowulf can be quite useful with his Break/Zombie/Shock moves, he is a Temple Knight, which has been quoted many times as "An Oracle mixed with a Knight" he can also use Knight Swords, so he is useful. Worker 8 is big and strong, he also has DEFENSE UP mod which is nice, and his WORK skills are powerful, of course in regards to a good generic he's not as good. Cloud takes too darn long to charge up his moves even with Short Charge, but they can be powerful! Reis has one of the highest HP growths in the game as her Dragoner class, so she can be useful, but I have never found her breath to be INCREDIBLY powerful or useful. In the end, Beowulf is the best out of the four.
