PC/Computers-Games: 10- Durability: 5- Fame: 10- Style: 10- Accessories: 10- Grade: B+
What can I
possibly say about computers? Computers have great games, they have two types
which are DESKTOP PCS or Laptops, and PCs just keep upgrading and upgrading
becoming so powerful. Their durability is extremely weak however and the amount
of time you need to use monitoring viruses/spyware it definitely brings down the
durability. Despite that, the fame of PCs is righteously a 10, computers come in
quite some good styles, I can think of hundreds of accessories computers have,
and there are THOUSANDS of PC games out there. With the exception of fair
durability, PCs are great for gaming.
And now... presenting, the reviews of PC Games!
Age of Empires- Fun: 9- Gameplay: 8- Graphics: 6- Value: 4- Sound: 8 Grade: B
AGE OF EMPIRES! Is it just
me, or was this one of the best games in the new millennium that you could play?
From other reviews I have read about AOE, everyone wanted it to be extremely
strategic, Civilization II this, Warcraft that, blah blah... but AOE brought
upon a more simple way of building an empire DESPITE THE HORRID POPULATION LIMIT
that brings the Fun value down to 9, and the simple way is that of building the
empire from PURE SCRATCH. You have to do nearly EVERYTHING yourself, every piece
of resource you must pick and get yourself with your villagers, you must monitor
your population limit that can only go up to 50 units *BUMMER but they fix this
in AOE2 partially* and the MULTIPLAYER system of AOE is truly a sight to behold
on the Microsoft Gaming Zone. Certainly worth playing, that is for SURE, I never
saw any bugs in this game or problems except the population limit.
Age of Empires II- Fun: 10- Gameplay: 9- Graphics: 7- Value: 7- Sound: 9 Grade: A-
Age of Empires II just
brought the AOE games to the A GRADE! You now have control on what population
limit can be *50-200* and the first AOE was Roman times, this is PURE MEDIVAL
times with even a HISTORY SECTION TO LEARN ALL ABOUT THE early A.D. century!!
WHAT A THRILL, and you can play this on the Microsoft Zone just like AOE!!
DEFINITELY WORTH GETTING!
Age of Wonders- Fun: 10- Gameplay: 9- Graphics: 9- Value: 10- Sound: 10 Grade: A
Age of Wonders came so darn
close to an A+ it is magnifying. Despite that, imagine a game that has the
similarities of Lords of The Rings races, then mixed with a great graphics
system, along with great maps, great campaigns, even a map builder like many
strategy games possess, and INCREDIBLE music and sound... which makes Age of
Wonders. Several scenarios to play, and you can make your own, or play the
campaign, or even play online against a friend through TCP/IP. You can be one of
the twelve races of ancient times, choose one and attempt to conquer the land
with your force/abilities and armies. Sure the "daily army pay" is a
bit tough to deal with, there is no population limit like Seven Kingdoms. AoW is
loaded with fun and thrills... there are even Heroes, and it has a strong RPG
value with your Leader/Heroes. Age of Wonders... my favorite PC game.
Battleon- Fun: 7- Gameplay: 6- Graphics: 8- Value: 7- Sound: 5 Grade: C+
Not a bad game, the leveling system is a little annoying on how you have to
TRAIN against enemies to gain each specific attribute point, but it has nice
graphical value and reminds me of what Pokemon should be like, having pets help
you fight against evil beings only for you to be able to use elemental weapons
against certain monsters. Fire against ice monsters for example. Nice game. It
can be played for free at www.battleon.com
Castle of the Winds II- Fun: 9- Gameplay: 8- Graphics: 5- Value: 8- Sound: 0 Grade: B-
I'm going to be very honest
with you, Castle of the Winds II is very memorial and VERY enjoyable to play.
First of all, you're coming off of Castle of the Winds after avenging your
godparents' deaths, then going to see the shade of the castle to avenge the
wrongs done by the evil god Surtur to the world. The GAMEPLAY... for when this
game was made, is very, very advanced. Armor slots, bracer slots, boots, belts,
just like Diablo II, only even MORE advanced! Rings, necklace, CLOAKS... and
MANY ITEMS. I love it, and I think you will too. You can find this online
somewhere on the internet for free I'm sure.
Civilization II- Fun: 5- Gameplay: 10- Graphics: 6- Value: 10- Sound: 5 Grade: C+
First of all, I would like
to say Sid Meyer is one of the best god damn historian/teachers and game makers
in the world. Civilization II is a masterpiece with explanations of the
beginning of time, and how life gave birth to civilization itself with all the
nationalities and sciences/technologies we have. Although it is that good in
those aspects with high value and great gameplay, the FUN lacks in this game I
feel eventually, it can get dull hearing the same thing over and over and
sometimes the difficulty is a bit hard to cope with.
Darkthrone- Fun: 5- Gameplay: 6- Graphics: 2- Value: 4- Sound: 0 Grade: C+
I know the grade may be a little extreme but due to the brutal casuality bug and
half hour waiting period for miners to bring in your money, it is extremely
difficult to make a solidified empire that can rival against people even 5
levels below your own! Still... not a terrible browser based mmorpg. It can be
played at www.darkthrone.com
Diablo II- Fun: 9- Gameplay: 8- Graphics: 7- Value: 9- Sound: 10 Grade: B
Pissed that I gave Diablo
II just a B? First off, if it didn't have hell/nightmare mode it would have
gotten an A. You see, when you have played in normal after a while it gets fun
and enjoyable, especially with a barbarian. The problem is, finding a good
weapon for an AXE barbarian is the problem with the MAGIC FIND system of D2.
*SINGLE PLAYER I AM REFERRING TO*. Now... you have LIMITED SKILL points as well,
and you have to be wary on how you use them, unless you cheat the damn game with
a prog, but that's no fun. Point is, on multiplayer it's much easier of
course... and Diablo II being free is one of the best games to play online of
course, but it can get tedious after baaling a thousand times.
Dragon Raja- Fun: 10- Gameplay: 10- Graphics: 8- Value: 10- Sound: 6 Grade: A
Yes, Dragon Raja gets an actual A. Hard to give a PC game that high of a rating
these days eh? Well let me tell you bub, along with the great mmorpg experience
it has *and it's going to be free to play June 9th of 2005*, the fact is there
are MANY things that can keep you occupied for MONTHS... becoming a grand master
in a certain job, making crit, getting a reputation, level up to 255!!!! Eat
food, COOK FOOD, and MUCH MORE!! GREATEST MMORPG EVER... and you don't have to
save your skill points up like you do in Diablo II with the Barbarian because...
just USING that weapon/magic type makes that skill increase like in Rage of
Mages! You can find it at www.dragonraja.com.my
Guild Wars- Fun: 5- Gameplay: 7- Graphics: 8- Value: 4- Sound: 4 Grade: C-
Not worth $50 for sure... first off, even if you get to the MAXIMUM LEVEL OF get
this, 20!!! There's not that much left to do, it's not like DR where there's
TONS of more upgrades and items to get... Guild Wars is hard to control and semi
dull, Diablo II's weapon gameplay is better than this! Despite that... Guild
Wars is worth a try perhaps... It's a good STORYLINE/QUESTING game.
Heroes of Might and Magic III- Fun: 7- Gameplay: 6- Graphics: 8- Value: 7- Sound: 10 Grade: C+
Surprised such a high sound rating? Heroes of Might and Magic III has some VERY
CREDIBLE music that evne makes you want to play more and more even though the
gameplay gets tiring after a while. Ruling each kingdom and fending off siege
after siege isn't easy with the darn HOM dwelling system not giving you enough
units. Reminds me of Darkthrone.
Neopets- Fun: 8- Gameplay: 10- Graphics: 8- Value: 9- Sound: 8 Grade: A-
I don't care what you all
say, Neopets isn't a baby game :-P! The fact is Neopets is the best mmorpg type
based browser, and I think it will continue to be it forever. A little reminder
of Pokemon here eh? Feed your pets, groom them, gather several items, rpg, join
the forums, travel in the various lands... a lot of adventure awaits, and so
many options are available to you that is why Neopets gets such a high grade.
Rage of Mages- Fun: 8- Gameplay: 8- Graphics: 6- Value: 8- Sound: 7 Grade: B
Rage of Mages is one of the
most averagely equalized games I have ever seen with my review stats. It has
great fun, great gameplay, good graphics, great value and good sound. It has a
lot of similarities to Castle of the Winds II and Diablo II with the equipment
system. Big RPG we have here, along with the WEAPON MASTERIES just like Dragon
Raja!
Seven Kingdoms: Ancient Adversaries- Fun: 7- Gameplay: 7- Graphics: 7- Value: 8- Sound: 6 Grade: B-
Sounding like a broken
record here, averagely equalized game with my review stats! We have great fun,
great gameplay, great graphics and great value! The sound wasn't to die for
either, and eventually Seven Kingdoms could get tiring to most... good thing for
the village tax system.
Seven Kingdoms: The Fryhtan Wars- Fun: 8- Gameplay: 8- Graphics: 8- Value: 9- Sound: 8 Grade: B+
Don't you love sequels
that were better than the first? I sure do, and it's an example here in SEVEN
KINGDOMS THE FRYHTAN WARS! Now you can contrl the Fryhtans themselves and
destroy civilization as we know it! Or be humans fighting against the fryhtans
and human indifferent enemies!!
Treasure Island- Fun: 7- Gameplay: 8- Graphics: 7- Value: 7- Sound: 6 Grade: C+
Surprised this got such a
high rating? Don't be, it's a good game. The gameplay and fun are pretty
balanced and enjoyable. Sometimes the game gets a little tedious when the
pirates may be killing all your people with ease, or at times the game is just
too easy. Either way, it's a great way to spend the night.
The Sims- Fun: 9- Gameplay: 9- Graphics: 9- Value: 9- Sound: 8 Grade: A-
I
have to admit, The Sims is one of the best games in history, period. More than
just from it's popularity at being able to do several things, but for the anti
social people... you can make plenty of characters, have them all interact... AT
YOUR TERMS!! BUILD YOUR OWN HOUSES, buy appliances, promote in your jobs, HAVE A
FAMILY, HAVE ROMANCE... go places... AND MUCH MORE! SPLENDID game, case closed.
The Sims II- Fun: 10- Gameplay: 10- Graphics: 8- Value: 9- Sound: 9 Grade: A
At
first I was extremely skeptical about the Sims II, I mean it's easy to afford
the items that are high in value that help your sims live easier, less bills,
easier to manage your friends... but the gameplay and fun of this game is
ASTOUNDING. I am truly amazed by it, GREAT game.
