Who is Garfield?

Garfield is that fat cat, that fat, cynical, lazy cat that the whole world loves, also Jim Davis' creation. Garfield has had nearly 26, YES, nearly 26 years now. Jim Davis has won several awards for his incredible strip throughout the year, and I'd say the EFFICIENCY of the comic is one of it's best values. Imagine, everyday Garfield coming up with something new to do, something new to eat, something new to crush, something new to destroy, it's all Jim Davis' incredible and complex mind.
Alot of Garfield's Comics sends messages about particular things and scenes, sometimes as a comic starts out you completely did not expect the final result, or even before the last exact part you have no idea what can happen! Garfield just has that effect.

This comic is an example! Garfield wonders on what to do about the mouse in the house, naturally he never eats/fights or chases mice, maybe an occasional hunt to impress Jon but nothing really in his heart insists on him to do it. Point being, then a mouse hands out a cheese block as Garfield realizes on what to do, and by now... we still have no idea what is going to happen, until we see the third section, GARFIELD ACCEPTS A BRIBE AND EATS THE CHEESE! HILIARIOUS!
That's just one of thousands of Garfield comics, and examples of what Garfield's merely one comic's insight can give about a certain topic or scenario. Take this next one for example...

Garfield insists that Jon's poor taste in being about to have a date that likes him is just fine, while alot of the time Jon is just talking about something certain and Garfield just gives a walloping comment at the end. Sure we all know Jon cannot hear what Garfield says, but there have been plenty of comics that Jon just automatically imagines Garfield's reply.

Then there's Jon getting mad at Garfield for being lazy, that's usual actually, as Garfield has a snappy response insulting Jon's character.

Garfield could care less about Jon reading his storybook, as all of a sudden a tasteful comic insists that the Zombie ate the Last of the roast turkey, as that spices Garfield's up immensely! One more example of Garfield... his gluttony and non caring at most times, sure he cares occasionally about Jon and Odie... occasionally, but he always cares about HIMSELF!

Jon is speaking to the script known Diner Waitress Irma, who had a finger injury as she burned it in the kitchen prepparing his food, so Jon cannot eat due to being filled with guilt, and asks Garfield how he can eat, as Garfield grabs his dish and says he will show him how, that's one of the biggest examples of how Garfield truly is! THAT is who Garfield is!
