What is this game about?

Gemfire is a game made up about a land of fanasty and magical beings. The land of Ishmeria once was in peace with six wizards being the guardians of it.

How did the whole land fall in war? 

One day a fire dragon came to the land, and challenged all the wizards! The wizards fought hard, and sealed the dragon into a magical crown... and a ruler was destined to make sure peace and prosperity was in this land... to guard it. However, the king died and left it to his son... KING ESELRED. Eselred pillaged the people, forced heavy taxes, and was downright CRUEL. Basically the fact is the crown which held all the magical wizards with six gems in the towers of the crown, were set free upon the land to find other noble families to overthrow the evil king!

Who is the best ruler to be?

That's not easy to answer, but if you mean overall as in land, successors, good ability, you have to go with Prince Erin Blanche.

Can I play King Eselred?

No we can't, it would not make sense to the ending either if you could be King Eselred. The point of Gemfire is to overthrow the king and the other families who oppose your own in the land. It's basically command and conquest, destroy all who will not surrende...just Eselred is what started this mess.

Yes I will, in "The Gems" section that will soon be worked on. 

When the game begins as you leading a ruler, what exactly should you do next?

Often it depends on the family you are, the land you are in, and the needs that your kingdom is in need of. It is always best ESPECIALLY for beginners and intermediates to press the A button to listen to your advisor. But despite the advisor, a main key as obvious referring to what you must do in the game, is to prepare an army! You must also make sure who is leading the army is strong in battle ability to be able to lead the battle more successfully and more powerful! It plays a HUGE role if you fight for example as Erin's younger brother ARKIN, who is the worst character in the game, against Prince Ander in his home province. Arkin has less than 30 battle ability, Ander usually has int he 80s-90s. If Arkin had five hundred soldiers and Zendor, and Ander had 350 and no Pluvius, Ander would win, especially if it was an onslaught. Soldiers CAN EASILY beat Wizards if you are a strong leader in battle ability!
