The Four Scenarios
Here we are, the beginning of how you play Gemfire, by playing a Scenario... first off, scenario 1 is not only the best scenario of when all the opposing rulers are at their peaks in age but also when King Eselred is most powerful, so fading off his attacks and HE WILL ATTACK YOU no matter who you are, all seems just nice and fun. It's best to be Erin, even though Erin is surrounded by Ander and Eselred, but Ander is surrounded by Garth, Eselred, Molbrew, AND ERIN! They're all good scenarios, but the actual STORY GEMFIRE starts off in Scenario 1, so that is where you should begin, but the other scenarios gives you certain access to be other rulers, and remember you can never be Eselred...which is good for Ishmeria!! :)
Scenario 1, Erin & Ander, the beginning of the story of
Gemfire and they are the main contenders to unite the crown. In scenario 1 you
can be one of four of these families.
, which
are...
,
,
,
.
Erin and Ander are the main contenders due to their lands of the north, reputations, vassal amounts and also their abilities, as you can see their abilities excel compared to of Lars and Garth, whose lack a little bit. I recommend being either Erin or Ander if you intend to win this Scenario.
Scenario
2... this takes place after some wars happen, a few betrayals of
some kingdoms occur and as you can see, Eselred's lands slightly degraded.
The families you can be in this scenario are
,
yes once again Blanche and Lyle are players due to their long stance in these
scenarios, also you can now be Erik of Flax and Leander of Molbrew, which are...
,
,
,
.
As you can see, Erin and Ander's age went up and their abilities went up also. You can see OVERALL it appears that Ander is a little better than Erin, which is technically true, as usual I recommend to be Erin or Ander if you wish to win the scenario easier than with the other leaders. Erik is actually not bad, but his age is a bit high, and also he is a bit surrounded by Eselred, but perhaps he can work hard in the corner of the map and not be disturbed for a few years if he cultivates and trains troops, I've done it and won the whole scenario that way, it's up to you, and as for Leander, he is surrounded by Ander and Eselred, I don't suggest playing him really, not to mention his vassals are ... sort of useless.
Scenario
3, Terian, the traitor of Eselred who just appeared in Scenario
Two but not as a playable character, destroyed the Molbrew family and is now
positioned in the south east, and he is sure in trouble, Ander is on top of him,
Eselred is to the right of him, and to the SOUTH of him is FLAX, but Terian
thinks he can handle all this so here goes!
The families you can control in this scenario are
,
there we are, AGAINNN Blanche and Lyle who even have more lands, more power,
more vassals and more gems each and not to mention having some wars between each
other costing each other a few vassals. And here are the four families stats...
,
,
,
.
How nice! A female ruler, PRINCESS GWEYN, the young yet weak in war. As usual, Erin and Ander's stats have gone up but so have their ages, and Terian is not too old and his vassal chart including stats are not bad, but preservation is most important in the game of Gemfire as well as survival. Gweyn has a vassal, her brother Alex, who is very good in war, that is how Gweyn can break through the lands if you play as her, do not be sending her to war for sure!
Scenario
4, the FINAL SCENARIO... GEMFIRE. After the many wars, Erin and
Ander have in the end, taken nearly half of the land and as you can see Eselred
is like barely existing anymore, the Lankshire family *Eselred* also bribed
Erin's brother Pender *a good War general* to leave him, which makes Erin lose a
great vassal, while Ander loses no one as usual.
The families in the final scenario to choose from are...
,
Blanche and Lyle, the main contenders as spoken in the first scenario. Tudoria,
another traitor of Eselred who has two slots of Land who by the way is real easy
to plow for either Ander or Erin, and Divas, probably the most interesting ruler
in the whole game. He is the LONG LOST SON OF KING ESELRED, and he has risen to
power in the south, prepared to take the land for himself as the noble rightful
heir, but as Erin or Ander he can still be plowed easily.

The final scenario indeed... first off... playing as Loryn is the time of gameplay where you want to rush it. Loryn is dangerously close to Eselred, for ESELRED'S SAKE, Loryn is however FAR TOO CLOSE to Lyle AND Blanche. If you can gather Loryn's force quickly and powerfully, and break through Eselred somehow by hiring a 5th unit of course... you may just break through Eselred's bases enough to capture him and perhaps even claim the Crown, doing this will give Loryn a better start. Eadric has an advantage, high cultivation and great charm but semi worthless vassals, and also his battle is very low, but boosting his war ability enough, I have made him King. Erin and Ander in the end though as figured, are the best contenders for the entire game.
