Stages

Here are the eight stages that you will go through in Arcade mode of Golden Axe! Difficulty will be listed from 1 to 10, 10 being hardest and 1 being easiest.

Stage 1

Common foot soldiers are around along with some nasty axe women. The bosses are two huge fat hammer men. Difficulty: 2

Stage 2

More foot soldiers after foot soldiers! You will also face two Axe Women here as bosses, not too difficult!  Difficulty: 2

Stage 3

Huge fat hammer men again, along with axe women! This is where you face Death Adder Jr. if you are on Beginner mode, and game play will halt here until you play Arcade mode. If on Arcade, as a boss you will face a Knight. Difficulty: 3

Stage 4

Footsoldiers and footsoldiers... this is where you are going on a huge bird to fly to the castle! The bosses are the dreaded SKELETONS >_<. Skeletons like in GA2 are still the most difficult non bosses to fight! Difficulty: 4

Stage 5

What we have here is a spooky stage, skeletons appear from the ground from the eagle, very spooky. Anyway, this is an EXTREMELY EASY stage due to there being cliffs that you can lure and push your enemies off of it by not even having to engage them too much. However the bosses are two Knights who you can just keep dash attacking. Difficulty: 3

Stage 6

This is the stage! The stage of Death Adder! We must defeat him to progress, and he's got a lot of HP! Fight him as best as possible, but first beat his minions! Not too difficult. You also get a LOT of little thieves appearing to refill your magic vial. Difficulty: 4

Stage 7

To be perfectly frank, just like in Stage 5, this stage becomes a LOT easier due to the ability of you being able to kick and lure all your enemies in this stage off the cliff. HOWEVER, you can even do it to the bosses as pictured above, but still it is a difficult stage! One more to go. Difficulty: 5

Stage 8

Obviously this is the last stage, but also it seems there is an even deadlier Death Adder! TWO OF THEM, only this one is the leader! Can you defeat him and bring peace to the land? His two Skeleton minions are actually the difficulty of the stage, just try to beat them all as quick as possible! Would help if you have magic! Difficulty: 9
