Yes, I am glad I can clarify that for all viewers. That section was my old site that did not contain enough information about each specific Golden Axe game, and other than Phantasy Star/Mario/FF series, it is the only game series that possess more than three sections for the games.

Yes.

What is Golden Axe II about?

Golden Axe II features the original Golden Axe characters Ax Battler, Tyrus Flare and Gilius Thunderhead. While the gameplay seems the game along with some of the story, Dark Guld the evil king has summoned his legions all over the land, even being more brutal than Death Adder! But the question is, does Death Adder still exist in Golden Axe II...? You'll have to play to find that one out.

Is Golden Axe II better than Golden Axe the first?

More/different types of enemies, at times more challenging and at times more easy, the gameplay is also much smoother with characters walking/running and attacking enemies. Also, Gilius Thunderhead is even more powerful than before, STILL being the best character in each two games, but in GREATNESS, no.

Why do you say that?

Golden Axe the first brought upon us this gameplay, better music, the originality of the Golden Axe series, just like SMB is higher ranked than SMB2!

But SMB2 was not as good in gameplay!

YET it was SMOOTHER like Golden Axe II is than Golden Axe the first while SMB is much less smooth and more difficult to play.

So that is how you rank Golden Axe over Golden Axe II?
