My Note
My note of the ... Labyrinth.
Sarah beginning her quest... I remember when I first saw Labyrinth. I was about
uh... 9/10 years old, and I understood the entire plot and story. Was about
2am... in my room, on the Disney channels right after I had finished playing
Mario Kart 64 for over 4 hours straight *yeah back in my NINTENDO DAYS after I
was finished with Sega for a while.
Being so naive with the
world of actors and music, I didn't even know who David Bowie was, he at times
even looked like a girl as Jerath but I realized he wasn't. At first I heard
Jody crying and crap and I was like "uhh it's another baby movie or
something"... but then the kid gets wished away due to Sarah's wish, and
the first dialogue between her and the evil goblin king really enticed me to
watch more.
It's a new brand
of the Muppets from Jim Henson! Lol. Never did I realize that Jim Henson was
actually the one directing it with even GEORGE LUCAS! Talk about some serious
backup and power involved with the making of a movie. So what do I think of
Labyrinth? I loved David Bowie as the Goblin King, and I love when kids from
modern times are sent into medieval or fantasy oriented scenarios with some sort
of mission, such as the Excalibur Kid, and other titles.
This movie must have had a huge budget, so much scenery and it all looked so
real. Labyrinth is a fine film to add to your cabinet of movies for sure. David
and Jennifer sure were the ultimate pair for a piece like this.
