Hints + Tips

One of the very few games... THAT HAS NO CODES!! So therefore, here are all the hints + tips I can lend my aid on for in the game of Pirates! Gold.

Get a letter of marque from a nation

To have your captain's best interests at heart, you should swear allegience to a nation which will give you a letter of marque to prove your worth against the king's enemies. Take over an enemy ship and then you will be promoted to an Ensign!

Fence all enemies

Even when low on numbers, I think it's best to crash into enemy ships instead of sinking them. This will allow you to use your speed and ability with the Rapier knock down the enemy Captain easily if you are skilled with using a Fencer. As for attacking enemy towns, you MUST crash into the town wall QUICKLY and engage the enemy leader to plunder the town! WARNING however, do not attack a TOWN with too little troops or the townspeople will throw you in jail.

Beware of your growing age

Sadly in Pirates! Gold, you can run out of time as a pirate and begin to fade in your health from all your sea faring, which to me is weird and far too soon. But anyway, I still suggest to always use the Rapier if you still want to have some quick reflexes in fencing even if you are growing older.
