Been on break eh?

Not willingly, my web server was down for a little while. At the same time it gave me time to play some D2 and realize PS3's legacy and that I had to make a section for it.

Third best game of ALL TIME Paulos... AND, your second best RPG of all time, not to mention your second most favorite game as well. Care to explain your bond with PS3?

PS3 was created in 1991... the memories... I first played it on Sega Genesis after I had done everything on PS4 and had already played many other RPGs such as Rings of Power/PS2/Light Crusader/Shining Force I + II on the Sega Channel in 1996.

And... what is PS3?

Phantasy Star III is the third installment of the series before the overpopular Phantasy Star IV came out in 1994. Phantasy Star III is considered "The Black Sheep" of the series due to it's INCREDIBLY different playing ability including even some of the stats, despite the battle system still being the same. It features two nationalities, Orakions and Layans.

Ah ah... reminds me of Rune. What else about PS3 in it's story/gameplay and legacy?

Yes, PS3 had an impact on that as well. PS3 to me, is the best of all the Phantasy Stars due to it's fine gameplay. Not graphics, but it's INCREDIBLE grasp of Gameplay. Great leveling system, not too hard and not too easy, impressive characters with a an impression of mystery as the storyline goes on about spaceships and cyborgs. Not to mention... marriage =).

Marriage eh? The Generations of Orakios fell to Rhys.

Characters you have or start out with at level 1 are actually generation characters themselves. Example, Rhys is a first generation character with 30 starting HP. He isn't too strong compared to Nial and Chrys. Now... Nial for example, being fully Orakion as we all know, the son of Rhys and Lena, has 75HP with no TP. TP is involved with Layans, though the point I'm making is that each generation you gain stronger generation types. You keep the first generation cyborgs Mieu and Wren with you the whole game however which can get really strong as well.

So it's like Rhys is 1st, Nial is 2nd, Aron is 3rd along with all the other possible marriages in each generation?

Yes, PS3 is split in three generation plays. Either way, there are two marriages. Chrys is the strongest physical generation you can have, it's such a pity you cannot have a full blooded Orakion at the last generation! Darn Layans :-P. Aron/Adan/Chrys/Sean are "third generation characters". In each generation however other than the third, you can get an above generation character. Example, in Ayn's quest he gets Thea, however he gets SARI, who is a FULL BLOODED ORAKION with like over 180+ HP, strongest character in the whole game due to her deadly knife abilities as well.

Phantasy Star III... it's popularity is dimmed because of that? Like Super Mario II?

PRECISELY, EXCEPT for one quality is that Super Mario II wasn't BETTER than Super Mario III or I, but it was still GOOD, it could not be considered a BAD game. In Phantasy Star III's case, it is better than ALL three of it's brothers.

What to expect from this section?

A LOT of information about Phantasy Star III, got to keep it's legacy alive for generations to come.
