Characters

Here are the CHARACTERS of PS IV that you shall meet/join up with and know of!

CHAZ ASHLEY, Chaz Ashley! Probably the most popular Sega RPG character! Chaz Ashley is the wielder of the Elsydeon, and your main character from the start and until the end of the game. He has some nice techniques such as Tsu, Githu and the godly NATHU including having the Zan techs. He has great skills, Rayblade being his deadliest sword move and Explode being very godly against monsters. Chaz, great character, not to mention he has real good strength, high attack, and just overall your best character. Aged sixteen, also one of the youngest age characters in any video games to save the universe, he gets up to the challenge very well!

ALYS BRAIGWIN, Alys Braigwin... my favorite character in all video games known to Earth. ... sigh... Alys has a semi half long role in the game, but I have leveled her up to level 99+ a few days ago actually, and I just love her as a character. The storyline would have been better if she would have gone on with the quest in my opinion, her age is unknown. Alys shall never be forgotten.

HAHN, Hahn... I have ... he is a Scholar, and if he did not have Wat I would never want him on my group. His defense/attack is really bad, and if you have to put dual shields on him to be good, his only use is using his Wat techs until he is gone. He lasts as long as Alys does in the storyline *Thank god!* Hahn is a scholar of Piata, you get him when you first are going to explore the basement and you take him along since he wants to go along. Hahn is 24. Hahn is one of the characters who you can bring into the final battle.

GRYZ, A Motavian *I have always said, huge birds/owls grown into humans* and his strength at low level can top Chaz's strength at high level! Gryz with his best axe can do some mega damage, I have never liked Gryz and he stays until you defeat Zio, so he does not stay particurally too long. He lost his family and home village of Molcum when Zio came and destroyed it, now all he thinks of is revenge!! Gryz is 19 years of age. Gryz is one of the characters who you can bring into the final battle.

RIKA, A NUMAN! Rika is probably your most useful character, she joins up when you rescue Professor Holt after you saved the people of Zema. Rika stays until the end of the game, and she is a product of a thousand years that the computer system "Seed" generated into a human figure... a "Numan", that brings back memories from Phantasy Star II, Nei who is also a Numan. Basically Rika has some nice skills, but her techniques is where she is really useful. She has Saner/Deban/Shift/Res and SAR techs, she is without a doubt your most useful character in support and even one of your best physical chars.

DEMI, Demi the Android! This is the Android that Seed spoke of that you had to rescue in Zio's Fort. She joins after you attempt to find Rune in the Laede tower. Skills, and power... other than her gun she is not exactly a huge help. But her place in the plot grows as you progress, and she stays pretty short actually. When you see her age, you almost think it is a typo in the game, but it is not! 324 years old! Demi is one of the characters who you can bring into the final battle.

RUNE, You first meet him in the destroyed village of Molcum and he guides you to Tonoe to get the Ashline to recover the town of Zema. First off, Rune is the most mysterious character in the game! Possessing the ancient form of "magic" as his skills, when you first get him, you are a GOD in gaining experience for your group. Wat, Foi, Zan, Gra, and even some support spells, Rune has all the offensive magic and super magic skills. Rune leaves your group after you get to Tonoe, but later permanently joins your group after you get to the Laede Tower to find the Psycho Wand. It is truly impossible not to bring up the name Rune when you bring up Phantasy Star IV, the best wizard probably in all Sega games.

WREN, The emotionless, super Android of the game. You find him on Zelan, and he joins your group permanently after he requests to assist your quest. His STRENGTH tops Gryz and Chaz's put together, his skills/power makes Demi look like a child frankly put. Wren gains alot of good skills if you explore many of the machine centers that you see throughout the game, basically Wren along with Chaz are your hardest hitters. Also not to mention that Wren is one of the few *if only* character that can gain the max of 999 HP. Speaking of 999, Wren is 998 years old!

RAJA, Raja is the best healer and supporter of the whole game. Able to cast a highly defensive skill, support in ALL healing techniques, Raja joins when you crash into his temple in Dezolis after getting Wren and attempting to go to the articial satellite Kuran. Raja stays for a little while, until he gets sick with fever. Raja is one of the characters who you can bring into the final battle.

KYRA, Kyra the Esper who you save from the vines surrounding Gauberk Tower, Kyra is an overall great balanced character in stats and skills. She has some really powerful techniques, has the Foi power, and is also in remembrance of Alys since she can use Slicers, but not any of the actual Slicer skills. She focuses on the magic spells that Rune has such as Hewn and Flaeia, Kyra is 18 years old. Kyra is one of the characters who you can bring into the final battle.

SETH, ANOTHER SCHOLAR like Hahn! Except NOT like Hahn! Seth has no TP like Hahn, which already makes you confused. He has actual spells that all the evil enemies use such as Corrison, Mind Blast, Death Spell, and Shadow. Makes you wonder, huh. You find him in front of the cave that you are going to go through when you are told in the Gumbious Temple to find the Aero Prism that will lead you to Ryrkos. Seth... has a very, very short stay in your group. I'd like to say his move MIND BLAST reminds me of Chaz's Earth, only it works on all the enemies! I love that move! Seth is 39 years old.

Those are the characters of Phantasy Star IV... from 1994 and now in 2004,... never to be forgotten in GameAmazon!!
