FAQ
Paulos, why did it take so long to work on the PS IV Section!?
I've never rushed my work, but also above all I felt I did not need to work on the PS IV sections due to other games such as Diablo II, Rings of Power, Gemfire, and etc ... had caught my first glanced interest in creating/making the sections... but now I know to make this section due to this game's popularity and the point of gamelegacies is giving games that are forgotten or even known it's credit/due in the gaming world even of 20+ years past.
So now that you're working on it, going to be big and informative?
Indeed, it will explain the chars, planets, the items that are sold at shops, weapons, armor... also an explanation/pictures of PS IV's fine anime base for a 1994 game.
PS IV is a great game, and it starts out as you are Chaz in the academy and you must find Alys, a bit non challenging then you must see the principal for the job, then before you know it you're involved in a large mission.
More than a mission, a true adventure beyond the universe's grasps! This is what made PS IV a great game, the surprises it had in store for Chaz, Rika, Rune and Wren during their incredible quest.
So Paulos, PS IV is one of the best games right?
Yes it is, not as good as PS III but still very good.
Why do you not like PSO?
I feel PSO is an embarrassment to the original series. First off, if you want to make new games in remodeling or semi based off old games, you got to add their ELEMENTS... Phantasy Star I/II/III and IV all had spaceships, androids yes... but in PSO... it is all modern, I saw no medieval terms in it or anything, not to mention the ahem bad graphics and just plainly no storyline and when you see PHANTASY STAR you are thinking of Chaz and Rika from PS IV, NOT PSO!! They got to come up with something better than this, and that doesn't include placing the original games with new enhanced/updated features like the GBA "Phantasy Star Collection" which included PS I, II, and III, a very nice collection.
A true Sega gamer... Paulos, FAQ some people wonder like Gemfire had no specific ending as PS IV did... did you feel there was any storyline left?
No, PS IV ended the series with a spectacular ending and just plainly finished the series off grandly, there is no need to ever add on to the series count, that goes even for PSO.
Leveling up, great shop system, loads of fun and surprises, what do you recommend for alot of this game, as in training and such?
Always get the latest items/weapons/armors that shops in your area of the game provide due to you needing the attack/defense to fight higher level monsters. The fact being alot of battles mainly boss battles can be long and damaging, so be careful... I personally level up my chars a LOT.
Rumor, and proven true of the level 99 bug, explain!
I was leveling my Chaz Ashley to level 99 long ago on my first game of it, loving it, and when I got to lvl 99 I was proud, so I took a stroll with everyone and killed some monsters. Needless to say I noticed a LOT of Rune's moves were 0x meaning they could not be used, as in being out of the skill! I believe even his HP/TP was messed up, as Wren's HP/Stats were messed up, and something really was wrong with Demi and some other chars.
Is it just Chaz?
I leveled my Wren up to level 99 also on another game, and Rune had the same problems and I cannot remember but I believe Chaz probably had problems. If I would have gotten Chaz up to level 99 then well... I am sure he would have still been drained in points like Rune was drained. Very bad bug the level 99 bug is, it's the only VERY SERIOUS DISAPPOINTMENT that PS IV provided due to it being such a thrill to get a character to level 99 in a Sega Genesis game, to find out that all your characters in the group will later be severely weakened by it.
PS IV is great, the FAQ is complete, always feel free to ask me questions PaulosBlade@gamelegacies.com :) we shall never forget PS IV!!
