The Human
After the centuries of fighting, after the grand Elven Hero Elric had successfully banished evil undead King Inioch from the world of the living, as the Elves/Halfling/Dwarf/Highman/Human alliance thwarted Meandor into the far underground along with the Dark Elves, who all retreated.
The Keepers had accepted that Julia was the Queen of the whole land. However, the Humans who had their own king, King Julian who though helped greatly due to having control of the Inioch's old kingdom ruin site, stated he was king of his land.
Julia agreed, as she became Queen of her Elven Lands, the Halflings leader Meldrow became ruler of the south, as the Highmen left the world once again to return if Undead ever would rise again…
Twenty two years later after the world had finally regained peace, strange activity was beginning to show from the underground. Many Halflings of the south had been kidnapped by "Shadowmen" and Trolls as the Halflings stated. King Meldrow was in awe, and confusion. He asked Julia for assistance, as she agreed to send Elric to lead a huge investigation with many elite Elf soldiers and Halfling pony riders.
The armies of thousands scoured through the underground, brutalizing a lot of the Dark Elf/Orc towns below… only to find them completely deserted. Suddenly… the underground shook with chaos, as everything below crushed somehow with incredible earth energy, as Elric, many of the Halflings and much of Julia's forces were crushed alive! Despite this INCREDIBLE loss and chaos that begun striking the south, vulnerability engulfed the land… as then, thousands of Dark Elves/Orcs/Goblins nearly shook the earth by destroying the Halfling kingdom of Tharon, slaying King Meldrow and the royal Halfling family, migrating the Halfling kingdoms into Orc/Dark Elf ones.
This was beyond terrible news for the elves, who had lost their cherished Hero Elric who had at a time, taken down twenty Dark Elf Swordsmen at once, unaided. Even worse, the path that the Halfling Kingdom went north from, was straight to Julia's kingdom, which consisted of five beautiful imperial cities, the middle one being "Wonder", Julia's main kingdom. Julia was in complete disbelief as this happened, and the elves were very saddened and frightened, morale was incredibly low.
This is where the story begins, the third day's sunrise embraced the land, as a hero on a white stallion could be seen from the Imperial Elf Kingdom's watch towers…
The hero rode on the path near the first large kingdom, wearing blue clothes with a blue hood. The hero had a sword scabbier on his belt and was about 6"2, he rode his white stallion to the nearby gate.
The elven guard holding bow and arrows, as about thirty others appeared out of nowhere on the walls, and aimed at him. "WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS HERE, AT THE IMPERIAL CITY OF WONDER?"
"I… have heard of the turmoil that the Elves are suffering with, I have come to assist" said the Human hero.
"Human… we do not want your arrogance or kind here. This is for the good of heart only!"
"I am PURE GOOD Alignment!" The hero shouted, showing them his blade of light, which was a white long sword, so white that you would think it was a flashing light from afar.
"A Pure Good human…" The elf guards murmured, and looked back to him. "Well…"
"At least let me enter" The human requested, placing his sword away.
"OPEN THE GATES!" The Elf guard shouted, as the large gates opened.
The hero looked around at the walls, shook head then walked into the gates, revealing the Elven barracks and then, the many elf houses.
The Elven townspeople looked at the man, very wary of the human. Though the Elves were no longer hostile to Humans, they were still wary of their wars due to their tactics and their old home lost in the Valley of Wonders, which led to the two centuries of fighting and turmoil.
Fifty Elven guards surrounded him, and aimed their bows at him, as the leader in a green robe spoke spoke. "Dismount and be searched, then follow us"
The hero got off his horse, as it was taken to the stable. Then, the hero walked up to the Elves, as they searched him rather roughly due to being wary. They took off his sword as the hero grasped onto it. "Why do you take my sword?"
"To prove your politeness to our queen, you will be revealed to her unarmed" The leader spoke. "Do you deny this rule?"
The hero threw his sword to the leader. "It is precious to me"
"You will get it back, after our queen throws you out of the kingdom" The leader placed it on his belt, as they escorted him through the townsfolk, to the large, and beautiful white castle.
They walked through the hallway of the castle, elven servants looking over the hero very warily. The hero looked around, as the guards then escorted him to the throne room.
The leader stepped to the throne, and knelt along with the other guards, as the hero did as well. "My queen, you have… a recruit"
The beautiful and well dressed Elf Julia looked up, revealing her crystal blue eyes, looking over the hero. "Rise…"
The hero rose, and kept himself bowed to her, as the guards still held their bows at hand.
"Be at ease soldiers, I want to hear what he has to say" Julia told them.
The Elves, very defensive of Julia naturally, placed away their bows, stepping back.
"What brings you here… human hero?" Julia asked him.
"I am Paulos Hunter Blade, a human hero of the Valley. I traveled around it much, as Julian wished for me services several times but I denied due to the fact of part of his tyranny" Paulos explained. "After I heard of Meandor rising, the Halflings being slain, and the Elves most likely fearful of this event, I came to assist!"
"How dare you insult us!" A beautiful Elven staffswoman came in, looking over the human and growling.
"Enough Sharlia" Julia demanded, looking at Paulos still. "I want to hear what he says…"
"Humans cannot be trusted Julia!!" Sharlia growled, as Julia put up her hand for Sharlia to stop speaking, as she did.
"I have come to aid the Elves, who I am truly bound to" Paulos explained, kneeling to them all. "I am not here to quarrel with you about the past, the ancestral sins Humans once committed were unforgiveable, though they had no intention for Dark Elves to form, or Inioch to rise as an Undead who wanted to destroy the world!"
"Aid us…?" Julia responded. "Do you seek fortune and fame here? This is not the place for either, go back to your land, it is safer for you. You are not bound to us, you are more bound to your kind, or the Highmen"
"The Elves are but second when it comes to being Pure Good, I wish to join you as a military officer" Paulos responded, as many of the Elves gasped.
Sharlia rose, and held her staff with anger. "You dare attempt to say we are too weak to defend ourselves, that we need a HUMAN? You insult us!"
The leader guard also readied his bow, as Paulos still stayed knelt.
"If you wish to kill me, feel free, but I am bound to the Elves" Paulos responded.
"Enough!" Julia's words echoed through the halls, as her guards knelt in silence. "I do not understand this allegiance Paulos, but we Elves are not that much in need…"
"I would serve as a soldier then" Paulos responded.
Sharlia almost went berserk once again, as Julia's stare forced her backwards.
"Very well Paulos, … if you are that insistent, I will let you join our calvary" Julia replied.
"WHAT?!" Sharlia and the Elves screamed out, all angry.
"His loyalty must be tested, I wish him to stay as a calvary unit" Julia told them. "This is not your choice, it is mine"
"He is a hum…" Sharlia said, then sighed, furious at Paulos.
The leader guard just shook his head, then looked at Paulos. "I will… show him the barracks"
Paulos knelt then bowed to Julia, "You shall not regret this", as he left with the Elven Leader and the other guards.
Sharlia looked at Julia, quite raged. "Why a human? Humans are easily manipulated, he will turn on us IMMEDIATELY!"
"He is of PURE GOOD alignment, I could tell. He has true seeing also, I do not think… he will be a burden" Julia spoke, thinking about it once more, and at the same time, the fate of her kingdom… and the land's.
