16th best game of all time...
SF section completed!!
Description of Game: This game was one of my favorites for the Sega Genesis. I personally enjoyed this Shining Force more than Shining Force 2. This game just had better characters, even though it was a bad thing about Kane, he could have joined the group. Once again, the programmers limit your chances of having two great swordsmen on your group. Anyway... here is the description.
You are Max,
,
a swordsman under training of Lord Varios of Guardinia.

Max is sent on a mission by
the King himself,
.
If I told you more, it would ruin the game. But I will just tell you that is gets very interesting after all of this. All I will say... is to remember this face.

My Personal Opinion: As I said, I loved this game. Characters were good, they could have been a lot better, but they were what they were. I also believe that the enemies you fought such as the bosses, were better than Shining Force 2's.
WARNINGS!

I will now tell you some information.
When you are fighting alot of enemies at once, such as in Chapter 2 the Circus, make sure all your characters are 100% healed and stocked with items.
No matter how powerful your characters are, they are not immune to spells.
When you are in a certain terrain in a battle, it effects how your characters move, as well as how they attack, so try to stay on clear ground for archers and knights. If you want to have an easier game, when you reach the first battle... do not kill the Rune Knight, defeat all the enemies beside him with your characters, and make your Hero cast EGRESS.
Do this all you want, I personally train them all until they reach level 10, and then I promote them :-). Do not forget Gong! He is next to the small building you have your first fight in. You can only get him by casting Egress, then walking manually through the land, to the far east near the building, and go into the small house area. Go to the left, you will see a man in front of a woodpile and an axe. He will talk to you when you talk to him, and join you!
If you try hard on this
game, you will beat it. Believe it or not, these Shining Force games are not
THAT hard. You have to have dedication and a lot of patience when you are
training your characters and when you are stuck in the game like at a puzzle.
Paulos' Rank: 16- Shining Force- Platform: Sega Genesis- Genre: RPG Strategy
Not as advanced and with
great graphical value as it's brother, Shining Force I still nearly offers the
same amount of enjoyment that you could have with Shining Force II. Control Max,
leader of the first Shining Force that must defeat the evil demons and monster
hordes of RUNEFAUST! Destroying Darksol and Dark Dragon is of dire importance to
the world... can you do it?
