Care to explain to us what Shining Force II is?

Rated 15th best game of all time by me, and also the most FUN game on Sega Genesis, Shining Force II is the sequel to Shining Force that both were released on the Sega Genesis in the early 90s.

1994... it isn't as old as other Sega Games, sort of on the edge of when Sega was about to stop production?

Sega didn't stop production on the Genesis in 1994, however with Playstation coming out in the next few years competition was SOLIDIFIED. Sega went to the Saturn, which to me, was a terrible waste of time.

Paulos, is Shining Force II one of the best games of Sega Genesis?

Yes, it contains strategy/rpg combined making it a very worthwhile game to play. Ten years have gone by... Shining Force II... I'll never forget when the Sega Channel died, as I only was to get it for my birthday by my aunt... ahh......

Shining Force II, will it's legacy be solidified unlike other underrated games?

LUCKILY for everyone, like Phantasy Star IV, Shining Force II is one of the most popular RPGs and games for the Sega Genesis. If you're all speaking about Sega Genesis games, you'll definitely bring up Phantasy Star IV, but also... Shining Force II.

Shining Force II-More popular than Phantasy Star IV?

Absolutely positively not, it is not THAT close either. Nevertheless, one of the most populars yes, but Phantasy Star IV had a godly effect due to it's fine anime, gameplay, and it's boost from it's line of coming off three other games, ESPECIALLY descending from the great RPG "Phantasy Star" the first.

Is Shining Force II better than Phantasy Star IV?

No, but in some aspects you could judge it to be better than PS4 due to certain things. Remember, while SF2 had a large storyline, many fun battles, promotions, Phantasy Star IV had huge storyline as well, and a SOLID battle system that was perhaps a bit more quick and easy to deal with.

But yet, how is Shining Force II more FUN than Phantasy Star IV if it's combat system is not as SOLID as PS4?

Because you see, Shining Force II's WHOLE ENTIRE battle system consists of your characters specifically in a battle. Strategy, nice terrain, battle scenes which are impressive, always having a bit of a difficulty which helps. Not to mention Shining Force II characters are very fun to use! Bowie, Slade, Sarah as a Master Monk, you just... have to play Shining Force II to understand.

Though there's alot of Shining Force II sites on the net, will yours be one of the best?

I don't attempt to make my sections the "best" of any competition on the net. I make it so people get information that they need, solidify legacies of games I feel deserve to be remembered, and get people to play them. That's the ONLY reason.
