My Note

My Note of Shadowrun!!

Well now... how nice. What a game, what a great GREAT game. I ranked it 22nd best game of all time yes, but why? It's many flawless aspects of gameplay. You never run out of enemies, the Karma/attribute system is semi BRILLIANT actually. For once you don't need a system with experience gaining and such. You got to get your hands dirty, go Mr. Johnson jobs for it. Actually, in improving SKILLS, by doing all this you're also improving your OWN skill in playing Shadowrun, because at times it can be difficult!

Shadowrun is all about running/walking in the shadows, always prepared for someone to jump you, and it's not good to kill innocent civilians or else you will gain a criminal record which isn't exactly nice when Lone Star grabs you.

The Redmond Barrens is the beginner area, and that's where you start off at. Though the Halloweeners *A.K.A Weenies* can be tough, they are not as strong as the Orcs in melee and the Eye Fivers in guns! Plus Redmond Barrens is the best place to gain Karma off Mr. Johnson *Mr. Gunderson*.

As you see, modern as ever, the year is 2058. You must hunt down your brothers killers, at the same time... sometimes Shadowrun gets a little confusing in where to go to find a certain person to continue on with the storyline. This game DOES require going into the Matrix mind you, so I prefer using a Decker! In short, with all the elements of playing, if you know how to play of course and can get used to it, Shadowrun is a GREAT experience. NO RPGer should be without this game.
