Who is Mario?

Started out as an arcade game "Donkey Kong" where you had to save the princess from Donkey Kong as being Mario, this was in the early 80s! However... Mario Bros came out in 1983 for the Atari, that was the beginning of Mario... but it to me, Nintendo knew he would be truly great on Nintendo system, therefore in 1985 they released Super Mario Bros. and that is how Super Mario became an icon of gaming.

It all started in Brooklyn... Mario and his brother Luigi, known as Mario Mario and Luigi Mario, yes imagine having the same first name as your last name. They were plumbing one way, but found a passageway to another time and world, rushing with their fireball powers and plumbing skills, they rushed into the land only to find the poor Mushroom Kingdom of Princess Toadstool being terrorized by the powers of King Bowser!

Mario and Luigi would not stand for this, as they immediately went to assist Toadstool, defeating all the enemies and Bowser. Since that day, Bowser has sworn to kidnap the princess in any way possible and to defeat the Mario Bros., and this... is how the actual storyline has started, including all the Super Mario Comics which I collect, the Gameboy Comics as well from his gameboy game Super Mario Land, and an example Super Mario 3, which Bowser kidnaps her once again!

Pummel after pummel, Bowser does not give up, and neither will Mario! That's the glory of the Mario games, Nintendo and the audiences still do not tire of Mario! Mario's even had his own movie back in 1994!!! Super Mario is played by Bob Hoskins *while Luigi is played by John Leguizamo* Ahh... Mario's legacy... May he and IT live forever!!!
