Characters
Here are characters that will join you, and some other main characters as well!
Cecil
the Dark Knight/Paladin: Here he is... our main character,
the moment we start off with him we're thinking "Ugh, wish he could be
something else..." in the Japanese version of this game *Final Fantasy IV*
he can use DARK WAVE move, which is GREAT. In the American version <Final
Fantasy II> he can't!! So yes that makes Dark Knights even worse. Anyway
Cecil is the commander of the Red Wings and the one dismissed from his post when
he can no longer stand looting and killing innocents of the world for their
crystals... he has much to overcome, will he?... Eventually he becomes a
Paladin, acquiring the rank of the best character in the game.
Kain the Dragoon: Kain the Dragoon, probably more popular than Cecil
overall, and I don't know why. Kain joins Cecil on his mission and seems
relatively more powerful than the Dark Knight, but something about him may be
shunning his loyalty...
Rosa
the White Wizard: Love of Cecil, and a true
believer in his abilities. Rosa is the ultimate healer of the group, and of all
healers to be frank... she also learns the almighty WHITE spell at high level,
she's great with a bow and an ultimate ally.
Rydia
the Caller: The cute little Rydia the Caller, you get her after
you go to the Village of Mist, and she realizes you killed her mother the Mist
Dragon. At first she attacks you, then later joins Cecil when you apologize and
protect her. She's one of the best characters in the game in the long run.
Edge
the Ninja: The prince of Elban, and demands
revenge on Rubicant/Golbez for the destruction of his kingdom. Arrogant, kind of
obnoxious and temper less, Edge is sure a force we can use.
FuSoYa
the Lunarian: Guardian of Lundarians, he
joins you later at the moon, explaining to Cecil a great deal of things... and
sort of an ultimate Tellah... he can use METEO, White Magic and even all Black
Magic!
Cid
the Engineer: The chief Engineer of Baron, grand ally to Cecil
and later joins you, also the one responsible for getting you the Enterprise,
Cid sure is a funny old man... and he hits hard using hammer/maces, and has
quite some fair HP value.
Tellah
the Sage: On your way to Damycan, he meets
up with you and explains Edward the Bard has tricked his daughter into eloping,
and he's on his way there to get her back. Tellah is incredibly powerful when
you get him, level 20 and loaded with spells, so yes he beats Rydia at first!
Once of his famous quotes are "YOU SPOONY BARD!" He seeks revenge
on Golbez when his daughter was killed by the evil beast.
Edward the Bard: Prince of Damycan, love of
Anna, and of course... THE SPOONY BARD! He's a coward and a weakling honestly,
and he's pretty much useless whenever you have him, although he has a handsome
look he is just a SPOONY BARD says Tellah... eventually he grows conscious of
his responsibilities and helps out.
Yang
the Karate Fighter: Head of the monks of
Fabul, you will meet him on your way there. He hits and kicks pretty darn hard,
especially when well equipped, he also has a hell of a lot of strength and
vitality, probably has the highest vitality level of all the characters in the
game.
Porom
the White Wizard: Polite and nice, you get
Porom and her obnoxious brother when Cecil goes to Mysdia for the second time.
She's a good healer, but not as good as Rosa.
Palom
the Black Wizard: Funny kid he is... he's
like Rydia without summoning and white magic, and can do some good damage.
