Streets of Rage III, more popular than Phantasy Star IV?

... what type of question is that? NO GAME WAS MORE POPULAR THAN PHANTASY STAR IV! Nothing else sold for $80 IN STORES!!!!!!

Oookayy... and more popular than it's predecessors?

Not only more popular, but way GREATER. First, the gameplay has improved as figured and way more FLUID which is what is very enjoyable. Like many games, the GRAPHICS have went up dramatically in viewing pleasure. The MUSIC IS OUTSANDING. Such as the tune you are listening to on the site right now, which is Stage 1... the best tune in SoR3. Finally, new characters with Skate and Dr. Zan... yes for once I like the new characters!

You say Axel is the best character overall?

Ohhh yes. Like said in the characters section, it reminds me so much of Ax Battler in Golden Axe. The slowest character, least skilled in technique and perhaps most physically strong, that was Axel in SoR as it was in GA for Ax. Not to mention their names seem similar. But then, in the final installment... the third game, their skills/talents BURST OUT in fury and pours over the enemies like boiling oil. INSANE power Axel possesses in this game, and so does Ax Battler in Golden Axe III!
