Tactics Ogre Character List

Greetings! This page will explain some of the *main* characters in Tactics Ogre Battle! *You could consider showing the high level char images and some written text VERY LIGHT spoilers, so be aware while reading!*

Alphonse Loeher- Your main character, Alphonse is the best character in the whole game in weapon usage and is best as a Swordmaster.  I really do not need to mention also that it is great having Alphonse move so far in combat mode  and with being a Swordmaster his agility level is superior compared to Knights and many other character classes! Letting him grow as a Swordmaster is the best thing to do... really also because his strength is just about equal to a Knight's! Alphonse is a member of the Order of the Sacred Flame, also a friend of Rictor. They are sent to the island of Ovis to identify recent strange happenings... and all I will say is that Alphonse has a huge adventure in front of him.

Eleanor Olato- This young woman saves Alphonse when he is washed up on shore. Loyal to Alphonse, she will join him at any chance she gets to help him in his quest to uncover the secrets in this island. I think she is best as a Knight because she has very low strength value, but naturally gifted with agility and intelligence.

Ivanna Batraal- Ivanna appears on scene after Eleanor rescues Alphonse from the shore. Originally from Rananculus, many rumors spread about her Uncle Naris Batraal, ruler of Rananculus, killing her father, the true heir! She asks to join Alphonse to find the truth about her father's death. Ivanna is the best melee woman fighter you will get in the game, always keep her as a Knight. Her strength can go up very high, almost matching Alphonse and most men melee classes!

Orson Lamies- Orson is a comrade of Rictor, and is very skilled with the use of bows. He may join you depending on the choice your leader makes.

    Rictor Lasanti- Rictor is the ultimate priest of the game. No one can match his healing skills when it comes down to intelligence level and use of all the healing spells. If Alphonse makes the right choice, in time Rictor will ask to join your group. Rictor is very useful as a healer, and as I said before no one matches his healing skills.

   Glyncia- Glyncia is a little fairy that you meet after a few events in the beginning of the game, you must rescue her from monsters and she will ask to join you. As many people know Fairies are not really a commonly used class... they do not have many strengths, and are considered useless. The only thing about them that is superior is their agility level, so Glyncia is worthy of one of your character slots!
