Tactics Ogre FAQ

What is Tactics Ogre? Tactics Ogre is a Gameboy Advance game released May of 2002, and it is of the RPG-Strategy genre. It is a very special game in my eyes, very special. As most rpgs, there is a great lvl up system, many items to find and equip your characters with, and you can also have up to thirty two characters in your group. This adds a LOT OF REPLAY VALUE to this game, which is a big factor.

Is Tactics Ogre worth buying at its still high retail price of $40 in stores?? Yes, yes it is. When it FIRST CAME OUT in May, I would have paid $50 for it. Tactics Ogre is just that game that you would not expect to be able to play on the Gameboy Advance handheld system, but in a more advanced system due to its gameplay value and graphics even. This is the best RPG-Strategy game for the Gameboy Advance, and many people will agree with that fact!

Why did you choose Tactics Ogre for your first game page to have frames and its in depth information about the game? I've gotten some questions about that sent to me, first of all Tactics Ogre is the first game page to have ADVANCED FRAMES, but it is not the FIRST to have an actual frame! Do not forget about the Rings of Power site, that had the left frame bar FIRST.

Then why did you choose to have Tactics Ogre as your first advanced game page?! Tactics has always had a special place in my gaming library... and it is pretty new too. I believed that it would the right choice because my other game pages will have the same frame outlook as this page, so why not start out on the best RPG for Gameboy Advance?

Tactics Ogre is a strategy game, why is it branded an RPG? During the years of RPG gaming... there have been games such as Phantasy Star, Rings of Power, Sword of Vermillion... these games could officially be called RPGS. However there were also "RPG" games like Shining Force for example, and at this moment Tactics Ogre Battle. They had a different type of RPG play, RPG character with the stats and points... but the battle mode was like a huge chessboard, and you would control each player one at a time to move your units to battle the enemies. That is considered "Strategy"... so although not officalized by gaming companies, many of these chessboard RPG type games by gamers are called "RPG Strategy Games".
