"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"... so many things in The Shining just made it so frightening to observe, sometimes you just had to turn away and hide somewhere, pausing the film of course!

What did I personally enjoy most about The Shining? Why, something ALL horror films should not be without... a little quality known as suspsence.

Why was the suspense so strong? Because of the MYSTERY of the movie, you had no clue what was going to happen next, while in some films you may be able to play out the whole plot if you're one of those analyst/critics. Yeah I really loved The Shining.
