My Note
Ohh... Uncharted Waters II. I still cannot believe it, been a whole year since I have been playing it, as I am also surprised that it is still one of the first top ten sections that I actually have been working on. Why? Because it is an incredible underknown game in reputation, let alone gameplay. This game is more complex that other strategy games, Romance of the Three Kingdoms looks pretty easy now to play huh compared to this eh?
Sure is, because this is about the entire world, sailing, collecting discoveries, items, gaining fame in a particiular area, and just plainly ...excelling at what your character does. One more unique thing about this game, you are playing through the same storyline as the other characters as well during playing as one character. Meaning, along the way you may meet one of the characters that you did NOT be!
So honestly you wish to know what this game is about?
It's very simple, it is about sea faring in the year of 1522 A.D. you can play one of six characters which are either Joao, Catalina, Otto, Ernst, Piertro or Ali. Who is the best character you ask? This game ranks in regards to accomplishments and the TRADE, PIRATE, and ADVENTURE fame. So really there is no "better" character, only difficulties perhaps. Ernst is the hardest character to be due to his complexity, you need to go all over the entire world and sail through almost every blank part of the world to make the huge map.

This is the Cafe, that's where you can talk to a Waitress and try to charm her into loving you and gaining information about enemy fleets, as then there is the Owner who you can "TREAT" the people of the place and recruit some Crew. Lisbon to me is one of the best if not the best place to hire crew, I've seen 158+ men step forward to join my crew!

My MASSIVE Fleet... eheheh... you need Officers however to maintain each ship, and good ones, also crew to navigate, this game can really test your mental capacity honestly.
You got to have food/water for all your crew, and if you want a GODLY unstoppable fleet you should really equip all your ships with Cannons, 320+ crew each, but your food supply will run out like a nation feeding it's citizens, so I still prefer personal duels v.s. other Captains, but with a huge fleet sometimes the enemy Captain when you threaten to attack will give up and you will instantly beat them, only problem with that is that you cannot loot their cargo!
Koei has always made advanced technical games, and by far this is one of the best, if not the best for the Sega Genesis in complexitity, another fine job done by Koei.
